Although we usually focus on the most luxurious vehicles in the world, today we’ve decided to do things a little differently. Rolls-Royce is known for its luxury vehicles. It’s one of the most exclusive brands in the world and having been around since 1906, the company has manufactured a fair share of vehicles over the years. Unfortunately, even the best brands in the world sometimes slip up and produce a product that simply doesn’t live up to people’s expectations.

Rolls-Royce Camargue was launched in 1975. Expectations were high as the brand was already established in the industry so when the vehicle was finally unveiled, many were left underwhelmed. The Camargue featured on numerous “worst car” and “ugliest car” lists over the years often being branded the worst Rolls-Royce ever produced.

Upon release, the Camargue cost around $147,000 (approximately $588,000 today). Rolls-Royce vehicles are renowned for their ridiculous price tags so it’s not a surprise the Camargue was so expensive. Regardless of its design, the vehicle still offered a level of luxury that no other brand could compare with.

The Camargue remained in production for 11 years until it was discontinued in 1986. Altogether 531 units were produced.

Overall, Rolls-Royce Camargue experienced moderate success. Perhaps it wasn’t the nicest-looking vehicles however the level of luxury that it offered was phenomenal. Fortunately, the negative reception didn’t seem to faze the brand, which is why Rolls-Royce remains one of the most luxurious car manufactures on the planet.
